First, what is a Smart Blind?

Smart Home Automation on Smart BlindsSmart blinds are simply window blinds that are motorized and can integrate into your home automation system. The blinds can then be controlled from anywhere through your home WiFi via your smartphone, Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, etc. That means you do not have to raise and lower the shades with a traditional cord, rather you press a button on your phone, remote control or simply ask Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri handle to close or open the shades. Smart blinds can also be put on a timer to open and close at particular times of the day.

This automation may seem futuristic but smart blinds are becoming more and more popular.

Ease of Use

This has to be one of the best benefits of smart blinds. Because they can be easily controlled from anywhere you don't even have to get off the couch to operate the shades. This is especially beneficial on those hard-to-reach windows.

Cost of the Smart Blind Upgrade

Smart blinds are more expensive than traditional window blinds or shades and can sometimes double the cost of the shades, therefore they can be a significant investment. We do have some motorized shades that already have the motors integrated into the window shades that are much less. Others come with a motorized upgrade that is optional.

Typical motorized shades come with a basic remote that controls one shade or a group of shades. You can then add the smart hub that allows the motor on the shades to connect to the WiFi and your smart devices.

Added Security

Because smart blinds can be operated from your smart devices you can easily operate your shades from anywhere. You can also set them on a timer as well. This allows the shades to raise and lower just like when you would be home keeping prying eyes from seeing inside your home while you are away.

Energy savings

Same as above, automating your window coverings so they close at night automatically will keep that added blanket insulating your windows while you are out late and not home to close them.

30 Day Returns

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the window coverings and wish to return them, please notify us within 30 days of receiving the order. Our customer care department will provide a Return Authorization Number (RGA) and shipping address for the return. Please note, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and shipping labels are not provided. Refunds will be processed within 2-3 business days after we receive the items (Guaranteed to Love fee is not refundable).
